Is your lawn looking sad due to the ongoing warm weather and drought?

Don't worry. It will recover quickly enough, as the roots will be fine.

If you have some wild grass going to seed, trim the seed heads to prevent them spreading, but otherwise leave the lawn alone.

Let nature take its course. When rain arrives, you'll be surprised how quickly your lawn recovers.

A good way to help your lawn in the future is to rake or scarify it. This will make a huge difference.

Using a rake or scarifier (Go left to right, then top to bottom) across the lawn will remove moss and dead grass and also break up the soil crust slightly.

The edges of the broken soil crust will then decrease water run-off, allowing more of the water to keep down into the soil.

So, the sun sets on our project in Painstown, Kildare for Ramona and Oran.

An absolute pleasure to be involved and a massive thanks to all the DIYSOS team, and all those I have met over the past 9 days. It was a huge amount of work but didn't really feel like work because of the fun we've had doing it. And it looks stunning. Today is reveal day. 😊🏡👨‍🌾
