Ringaskiddy & District Residents Association

Ringaskiddy & District Residents Association Ringaskiddy & District Residents Association is an organisation formed by a group of people from the Lower Harbour area to address local issues.

The Residents Association meet regularly to discuss and work on issues affecting the community. Issues addressed by the committee on behalf of the community in most recent times:
- Represented the community at An Bórd Pleanála/ Port of Cork Oral Hearing
- Proposed construction of a Waste Transfer Station at the Ringport industrial estate
- Regular meetings with Port of Cork regarding issues aff

ecting residents (noise, dust, safety, management of future construction etc.)
- Regular meetings with local industry to build a better community and shared environment
- Ongoing improvement to local amenities through collaboration with local industry - planters, flowers, litter picks and so on
- Planning & construction of Children's Playground - with thanks to the Playground Committee for their assistance in fundraising

Such projects are ongoing all through the year. Additional help is always needed and always welcome. Our community is quite unique, as the issues and threats we face are significant and occur consistently - one could say relentlessly. Membership of the residents' association is open to all people residing in the local area. It is wholly inclusive and you may request to be co-opted at any time.
