HLC Art

HLC Art For many years art has been a big part of my life. Designing and creating are embedded in my personality. Together we create traditional and modern work.

My first project was a school assignment where I constructed a world map using nothing but colored plasticine. From there, I found myself drawn to a painting on canvas, where my prepubescent self attempted to reflect my ‘existential angst’ using oils, color, and arbitrary brushstrokes. I thought my work evoked a keen sadness in people, but turns out it just hurt the viewer’s eyes! Despite this, my

dad hung the paintings for all to see (and apparently for all to suffer). Fast forward 20 years, I integrated my passion for design and art into my pottery production business in Australia and the Philippines. Selling my design products at scale to countless art stores, hotels, cafes, etc., across Australia was a heartwarming experience. People finally enjoyed my work, and this time, tears of joy. When I returned to Israel, it was no surprise that I revisited arts and crafts. Only now, I fell in love with sculptures and sculpting, mainly olive wood decor. During my time as a professional tour guide, I met a veteran craftsman, Ali Asaca, who has been hand-crafting wood for over 30 years. As we continue on our creative journey, we look to push the boundaries of art and introduce silver work, stainless steel, and other materials into our works. Even if you’re passing through, please feel free to reach out and have a conversation!
