👷‍♂️📐Rise and Fall Method [Servey engineering] 📏

Before leaving the site, ensure these three sums are equal:
👉 Σ BS - Σ FS = Σ Rise - Σ Fall = Last RL - First RL
🔹 BS (Backsight): The first reading on a known point (Benchmark).
🔹 FS (Foresight): The last reading before moving the instrument.
🔹 IS (Intermediate Sight): Any point measured between BS and FS.
🔹 CP (Change Point): Where the instrument is moved to a new position.

Derivation of D² / 162

The formula D²/162 is used in civil engineering to calculate the unit weight of a round steel bar per meter of length, where D is the diameter of the bar in millimeters. This calculation is essential for estimating the total amount of steel needed in construction projects.
🔹 8mm: 0.395 kg/m
🔹 10mm: 0.617 kg/m
🔹 12mm: 0.888 kg/m
🔹 16mm: 1.580 kg/m
🔹 20mm: 2.469 kg/m
🔹 25mm: 3.858 kg/m

PSC GIRDER || BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION || LONG SPAN BRIDGE

Precision in every strand! 🏗️ The pre-tensioning process is what gives our girders the strength to span long distances without breaking a sweat. We start by stretching high-tensile steel tendons to a specific tension before pouring high-grade concrete. Once the concrete cures and grips those tendons, the tension is released, transferring massive compressive force directly into the girder. This is how we build bridges that last for generations!
