Arun and Associates Arun and Associates, a new-generation design practice, was founded in 1998 by architect Arun Prasad Prakashan.

Space-making is explored within a contextual framework and designs closely follow an intuitive approach. With experience in India and South Africa, the firm offers expertise in design of residential, commercial, industrial and public spaces. Our practice takes cognisance of the multidisciplinary nature of contemporary architectural practice and fuses sensitivity with state-of-the-art technology. O

ver the years the practice has consistently been responding to changing tastes and demands in a region witnessing exponential growth. Through its collaborations with consultants who provide specialised services and wide product-sourcing from high end markets, the firm has evolved as one of the most sought-after offices in the region. Upcoming projects include an alternate school, showroom in a renovated building and an internationally recognised green industrial campus. STRATA’s facade is conceived as a high-performance secondary skin, where perforated aluminium panels wrap the building in a rhythmic composition. Their gentle curvature softens the structural grid, while the perforations filter daylight, encourage ventilation, and cast shifting patterns of light and shadow throughout the day. Beyond its visual identity, the facade enhances thermal performance by reducing direct solar heat gain and creating a breathable buffer between the building and its environment.

The facade, defined by a rhythmic interplay of glass and perforated aluminium screens, creates a dynamic visual identity while responding to light and climate.
