Glimpses of Naturophilia's Basics of Mud Architecture Workshop held on 30-31st May at our office premises conducted under the guidance of Ar Abhijith Sarvadevabhatla. As Abhijith brings in real project implementation experiences of 12 years the whole event became even more enriching.

The participants learnt and made models of different techniques like cob, Wattle and Daub, Rammed Earth where they incorporated biochar, poured earth and also made adobe bricks.

Many more such experiences are being planned this year, so stay tuned...🙂

What happens after biochar production? Can we directly use it? Ideally jom Raw biochar usage is not an advisable practice especially when the goal is to restore soil health. Biological activation of Biochar can be done using various locally available cheap natural resources as described in the video.

These are the questions we explored through our paper entitled "Many Biochar Many Insights", presented at the international conference on Global sustainability through Life Sciences organised by St. Pious College, Hyderabad.

How does a Biochar making from agrowaste work? Steps include collecting agrowaste from fields (cotton stalk in this case) to chopping, drying and cooking and activating it. The process is long, takes time and mandates skilled well trained artisans.
