AR College of Engineering & Technology is a private self-financing Engineering college approved by AICTEf NewDelhi and is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. It was established in the year 2009 by AR Educational & Charitable Trust at Kadayam, a picturesque village with serene beauty in Ambasamudram Taluk, Tirunelveli District. e two tributaries of the River Tamaraparani, at the foot of the Western Ghats. Kadayam is gifted with rich land and water resources and the World famous Courtallam waterfalls is just 20 km away. Kadayam got its name from Kadagam, the bracelet of Goddess Kalyani Amman and the Blessings of the Goddess is always with the people who come to this location for education, recreation and trade. Thus ARCET is located at a unique place with a highly conducive environment for studies. ARCET started with four branches of Engineering UG courses namely Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering during the academic year 2009. Four more courses namely B.E. Electrical & Electronics Engineering, M.E.Applied Electronics, M.Sc.Software Engineering and M.Sc.Visual Communication were added in the year 2011. Now four more courses namely B.E.Automobile Engineering, B.E. Mechatronics, M.E.Computer Science & Engineering, M.E. Power Electronics are being added during the academic year 2012-13. All the departments have well equipped laboratories and workshops. The highly dedicated, talented and intellectual staffs strive hard with all earnestness to impart quality education to the students and all other co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.
