Located in Mumbai, this 530 sq. ft. residence is conceived as a continuous spatial composition, where light, proportion, and material restraint shape the experience of living. Drawing from French and Indian sensibilities, the architecture is distilled through a minimalist lens, allowing each element to participate in a cohesive order.
The plan unfolds through aligned surfaces and subtle thresholds, with linear fluted bands and precise inlays establishing a quiet rhythm across walls and ceilings. Natural light moves through the space, softening edges and revealing texture, while a restrained artificial lighting strategy accentuates depth without excess.
Built elements are absorbed into the architecture, reading as extensions of the envelope rather than discrete objects. Minimal in expression, the project relies on proportion, alignment, and material nuance to create an interior that feels both intimate and expansive.
