But due to the shortage in laterite and non availability of bricks in sufficient quantity people started thinking of an alternate building material for construction works. This enquiry ended with the invention of cement hollow brick in the early 90’s. But when bricks and laterite availability became a problem, people started using cement hollow bricks as an alternative for bricks and laterite. Now

a day all most for all flats and building complexes constructions, this is used as a main raw material. Solid blocks made of cement are equivalent in strength and quality compared to laterite or bricks. Due to the ease in construction work and lower labour cost constructors are using this as their raw material.
