These three days with the SAR team were a subtle reminder of why we chose this path. Our time in Pune was spent in real conversation; discussing design, sharing thoughts and experiences with industry peers, all while being surrounded by the intentional curation of the Hint and Rise collections by SAR. We consider ourselves lucky because an experience like this didn’t just inspire, it reconnected us to our purpose.

As architects and designers, we’re probably supposed to appear impartial, but rules are made to be bent, especially for Oorjaa , one of our top picks for lighting.

This Bangalore studio has completely won us over with how they work: handmade paper, plant fibers, reclaimed materials, all transformed into pieces that feel both sculptural and timeless. Banana bark, lokta fiber, upcycled cork, concrete dust, materials you wouldn’t expect, crafted into something striking.
What keeps us coming back is their commitment to circularity and slow craft. Every piece is made in small batches, built to last, and designed with real intention.

Throwback to an unforgettable team gathering at Sar Residence! As architects and designers, we found endless inspiration in Girish Doshi’s masterful work—where local ideology meets regional essence.

The extruded irregular blocks, cuboidal forms, grounded courtyards, and bridged terraces speak to a design that’s honest and built on what’s required. A striking reminder of architecture’s real purpose!✨
