Holcim Awards - Lebanon The LafargeHolcim Awards is an international competition that recognizes innovative projects and future-oriented concepts on regional and global levels.

The competition seeks projects that demonstrate an ability to stretch conventional notions about sustainable building and also balance environmental, social and economic performance – while also exemplifying architectural excellence and a high degree of transferability. Organized by the Swiss-based Holcim Foundation for Sustainable Construction the competition is conducted simultaneously in five r

egions of the world in 2013/14 followed by a global phase in 2015. Group companies of Holcim Ltd contribute to the international awareness of the competition and encourage sustainable construction with eco-efficient building materials, innovative solutions and value-adding services. As physical jury meetings and prize hand-over events had to be postponed due to the pandemic, the five regional jury sessions had to be conducted virtually to select Main Category and Next Generation winners. This culminated in a total of 100 hours spent online to evaluate 2000 entries in the 6th International Awards Competition.
