We recently completed a full renovation of a large property in St. Helier, acting as the main contractor and overseeing every aspect of the project from start to finish.
The brief was to transform both the interior and exterior of the building within an ambitious two-month deadline. To achieve this fast turnaround, we combined the expertise of our in-house team with trusted subcontractors, ensuring every stage of the project was completed efficiently and to the highest standard.
We collaborated closely with the client throughout the project. While they had clear objectives, they were also open to our recommendations, allowing us to suggest practical improvements that enhanced both the appearance and long-term performance of the property.
The before and after photos demonstrate just how much potential an older property can have when the right team is involved. From structural improvements to modern finishes, the building has been completely revitalised.
Scope of Works
-Stripped and installed two new roofs on this property and the adjoining building.
-Removed water-damaged ceilings and installed new plasterboard.
-Installed thermal insulation boards to ceilings and walls to improve energy efficiency and meet current standards.
-Plastering all newly boarded areas.
-Completed full interior and exterior painting and decorating.
-Carried out EICR testing and upgraded the electrical installation to meet current rental standards.
-Installed new energy-efficient electric radiators, heated towel rails, sockets and switches throughout.
-Replaced pendant lighting with modern LED downlights.
-Installed extractor fans to improve ventilation and reduce damp issues.
-Refurbished the kitchen with new cupboard doors, worktops where required, and new appliances, including an oven, washer-dryer and extractor hood.
-Serviced all existing windows and doors.
-Installed new Amtico flooring and carpets throughout.
The entire project was managed by DCH from planning through to completion, delivering the renovation on time and within budget.
