How can seaweed improve yield?
Seaweed has been used in agriculture since the 17th century. Besides new technologies and due to climate changes, seaweed is the number one bio-catalyst used by farmers all over the world. For example to improve drought resistance.
New solutions for agriculture
According to the International IPCC, the temperature on Earth is expected to rise from 1.8 to 4 degrees Celsius. This leads to more extreme weather conditions such as drought, heat, intense rain and cold.
How should global agriculture deal with this?
• Breeding solutions: We can develop new crop varieties and rootstocks that are adapted to new environmental conditions.
