NODE is the photographer collective which takes new approaches to Japanese Landscape Photography from various points of view. Besides its original meaning, such as a "knot" and a "point where an orbit crosses a plane", the name NODE also indicates the thickness seen in a number of scenic images photographed.
NODE is the place where the photographers exchange views, find their focuses, and record the fertile japanese landscapes of today to preserve memorable scenes.
Natural landscapes, industrial landscapes, and cityscpaes, landscape vary in size diversely, and clue us in on how humans relate to the natural environment. Most of photographs appear in NODE are scenic photographs taken in a realistic and narrative manner, but some photographs convey the texture and hints of surrounding atmospheres not only the outline of the places. In th ecase of latter, the personal vision of the photographers stays in such photographs together with their will to recollect the memorable scenes for them.
The fundamental attitudes of NODE are to record landscapes in everyday situations, cultivate one's ability to express, and simultaneously keep looking at the drastic transformation of scenes. NODE tries to see the sign of a new era, and as a whole, whishes to open up new possibilities in Japanese Lanscape Photography.
