A pause in a building built on movement.

Saffron & Sage, now open at Purple Tower, Mombasa Road.

The tower sits on one of Nairobi’s busiest corridors, between the C*D, Upper Hill, Industrial Area and JKIA. Offices, retail, conferencing and hospitality all pass through its circulation. We wanted the café to read as part of that flow, not apart from it.

A glazed frontage keeps it visible from the walkway. A timber-lined façade brings warmth against the larger commercial envelope. Inside, timber, planting and soft light slow things down.

Designed to belong to its place, while remaining distinctly Saffron & Sage.

The dance of glass and wood in this sleek luxury mansion was choreographed to sync with its environs, creating a stunning, new visual and psychological sense of expansive space. The minimalist design incorporates the natural world by allowing one to experience the temperature, sights, and smells of the site location as you travel throughout the house.

The expansive bifold patio doors create an indoor-outdoor living experience, making the outdoors part of the living and dining area, while the statement front door is handmade by local wood artisans.

Every cove light, wall or surface mounted light, indirect, linear recessed and suspension lighting at Playza, Prestige Plaza was intentionally selected in view of the functionality, zone, overall ambiance as well as to highlight architectural design features including the structural ceiling, accentuated entrance, the cafe/bar with minimizing glare and soft glow, vibrant colors in the hyper bowling lanes and so on.

The thoughtfully designed lighting also helps guide visitors through different zones, creating a sense of adventure and excitement at the FEC.

At 80%+ occupancy, the ꓘNord in Ruiru was launched in Q4 2024 and is already attracting remarkable shopper footfall at the convenience stores that form a well balance tenant mix at the commercial development.

Majid Al Futtaim, the operator for in Kenya opened its 24th store with approximately 2,500m2 of retail space on the ground floor. The store will also serve as a hub for Carrefour’s operations, tapping into the growing market in County and the greater Metropolitan area, including Town.

For Spire Studio, this was one of the retail mall developments projects undertaken between 2022 to 2024.
