Jang Heyokju was a multi talented Korean born writer. He was an anarchist in his early age during the Japanesecolonialperiod, and published several realistic novels based on exploitation of poor Korean peoples. He had to escape from Korea due to some personal reason. His early works has been translated in many languages including Esperanto. Later, he settled in Japan during the inter Korean War and forgotten by Korean scholarships. After division he mostly published his works in Japanese about his life experience as a diaspora in Japan and dilemmas of nationalism. In his last phase of life, he began to write in English language on global subjects such as Indian, middle east, Europe and America and secure his identity as a global writer in the literary world.
He was the only Korean born writer who wrote and published his works in three languages; Korean, Japanese and English. Probably, he was only Korean born writer how has special and direct connection with India for a long time. He visited India several times for his research and collecting materials as he mentioned in his novel's forward note. In this result, he published his two works from India and .
Rajagriha iwas his last novel, published from New Delhi, India, where he depicted the life and journey of Gautama Buddha from Kaplavastu to Magadha Kingdom, a non A***n strongest land in Indian sub continent and Koshala the most ancient and civilzed state of A***n race in India at that time. He narrated the Geographical location of Indian sub continent and especially Magadha(Bihar), which is also my hometown, in detail. What is significance of this work and why he emphasize the location of Kaplavastu, Magadha, Koshala, as a land of A***ns race and Rama and the life of Gautama Buddha in this work?
