Over the past two weeks, heavy storms and continuous rainfall caused flooding around the construction site, forcing some parts of the project to be temporarily suspended.
However, during the last two days, the weather has improved with strong sunlight and water levels gradually decreasing, even though there has still been some light rain. Our LSM team has been working at full speed, including overtime (OT), with the goal of completing the first layer of rock installation in time so the structure can withstand the next rise in water levels.
We fully understand that working during the rainy season โ especially on river embankment construction projects โ is extremely challenging. When heavy rain falls, river water levels rise quickly and work often has to be stopped. In addition, the rainy season has now officially begun, making it very unlikely that the river level will drop to such a low point again anytime soon.
For this reason, we have decided to focus all available manpower and resources on accelerating the work and completing the project according to the planned schedule.
