تشكل غرفة الجلوس اهمية خاصة في اي منزل على اختلاف مساحتها ونمطها. هناك قواعد اساسية علينا اتباعها عند ترتيب اثاث غرفة الجلوس:

١-اختاري نقطة محورية تنطلقين منها: ومن المتعارف عندنا اهمية التلفاز. اجعلي ديكور مكان التلفاز هو الأساس الذي تنطلقين منه.
٢-لا تدفعي الأثاث نحو الحائط: بمعنى ألا تجعليه لصيقاً تماماً بالجدران على العكس اتركي مساحة بين الاثاث فتضيفي طابع الاتساع.
٣- راعي ان تكون المقاعد متقاربة وقبالة بعضها للمساعدة في التواصل، ومن حيث الالوان والمساحة والحجم.
٤- اختاري قطعة سجاد ذات حجم مناسب بحيث لا تكون كبيرة فتغطي الغرفة ولا صغيرة لا ترى.
٥- طاولة الوسط من العناصر الاساسية في غرفة الجلوس احرصي على شكلها وحجمها في الغرفة.
٦- الاضاءة في الغرفة يجب ان تكون كافية بحيث لا تكون ضعيفة، ثريا في وسط السقف مع اضاءات جانبية تفي بالغرض.
٧- واخيراً لا نغفل عن اهمية الاكسسوارات في الغرفة والاضافة الجميلة التي تعطيها مع مراعة الموديل المناسب والحجم ضمن المساحة.

The living room is of particular importance in any house, regardless of size and style. There are basic rules that we must follow when arranging living room furniture:

1-Never underestimate the power of a focal point in a room. Create the focal point according to the television. You’ll want to arrange furniture around it as much as possible.
2-The size of the room will dictate how far you can pull your furniture away from the walls, but even in a small space, you’ll want to give pieces a little breathing room by allowing a few inches between the backs of furniture pieces and the walls.
3-Balance is always important in decorating, place the sofas to face each other so that people can converse easily.
4-Choose rugs in a way that it is not too big that covers the room and not to small that you cannot recognize.
5-When it comes to coffee tables, bigger is better. Try to choose the design in a right way to fullfil its important purpose.
6-Lighting is one of the most important elements of any room. It must be placed at different levels properly balanced such as chandelier and table lamps.
7-Don't forget to choose the right accessories from the design to the size.
