In 1954 Sayerlack set itself the goal of producing the best possible wood coatings that advanced technology could formulate. With this aim Sayerlack quickly became one of the leaders in the wood coatings industry steadily increasing its production volumes. The group expanded through the establishment of new subsidiaries and through the acquisition of other coatings companies. In 1987 Sayerlack became a part of the Hickson International group, adopting the name Hickson Coatings in 1993. In July 2000 Hickson International was acquired by Arch Chemicals Inc. and thus, Sayerlack became the core of Arch Coatings within the Arch Chemicals
Devoid of harmful solvents, the latest range of Sayerlack products are water based, non-toxic & environment friendly. It gives an outstanding aesthetically pleasing finish to furniture and other wood surfaces and is chemical and scratch resistant.
Sayerlack boasts a wide range of products and is available in an exciting array of over six thousand pigmented colours & effects in the Polyurethane Lacquer range which include natural wood finishes and designer effects such as mother-of-pearl, granite, marble, filament, crackled, rustic, distressed etc.
Sayerlack’s exterior range of water based products are ensured against peeling, fading, or cracking under continuous exposure to UV rays, rain, or even salt spray from the ocean. Sayerlack lasts longer too – maintaining elasticity through aging and outdoor exposure, with high gloss retention and even colour.
As there is no solvent emission, a majority of the tourist hotels, leading furniture and educational wooden toy manufactures in Sri Lanka use Sayerlack water based wood coatings – having identified the product’s superiority in every sphere.
