ayointerior_ As an Interior Architecture and Design studio based in Sri Lanka, we at Ayointerior, focus on practicality, relevant good designs, comfort and elegance.

Based in Colombo, we specialize in residential, commercial projects and furniture design. The One Galle Face lounge is the first expression of a new design identity for Dilmah Urban Estate intended to be rolled out internationally. Rather than creating a conventional tea lounge, team at Ayointerior sought to establish a distinct spatial language rooted in Sri Lanka while remaining contemporary and globally relevant.
The tea-growing landscape became an important source of inspiration. Gentle curves, inspired by the contours of the tea-covered mountain ranges, are reflected in the ceiling, while deep greens drawn from the central highlands inform the palette of wallpapers, handmade local tiles and upholstery. The result is an intimate, layered interior designed to feel warm and immersive, while subtly evoking the landscapes from which Ceylon tea originates.

Carefully curated images, graphics, and visual elements throughout the lobby create an engaging experience, encouraging visitors to pause and explore the story behind the brand. Rather than functioning simply as a transition space, the lobby invites visitors to linger, observe, and connect with Dilmah’s history and values.

An experience shaped by the coast.

A beachside apartment in Weligama Bay, brought to life through natural materials, handcrafted furniture, and a palette that reflects the calm of the coast. Every piece is designed not just to fill a space but to shape the way you live in it.

Furniture throughout the apartment was designed and manufactured by Island House, a furniture studio founded by Ayointerior. Rooted in the philosophy of slow design, Island House produces pieces crafted from well-seasoned local timber and handwoven rattan. Inspired by the landscapes and craftsmanship of Sri Lanka, the furniture celebrates material authenticity while ensuring longevity, creating objects designed to last for generations.
