A beachside apartment in Weligama Bay, brought to life through natural materials, handcrafted furniture, and a palette that reflects the calm of the coast. Every piece is designed not just to fill a space but to shape the way you live in it.

Furniture throughout the apartment was designed and manufactured by Island House, a furniture studio founded by Ayointerior. Rooted in the philosophy of slow design, Island House produces pieces crafted from well-seasoned local timber and handwoven rattan. Inspired by the landscapes and craftsmanship of Sri Lanka, the furniture celebrates material authenticity while ensuring longevity, creating objects designed to last for generations.

An oceanfront escape where calm meets design

Just meters from the Indian Ocean, this apartment captures the serene rhythm of the sea. The bedroom, living space, and pantry all open up to uninterrupted views of Weligama Bay — a true surfer’s paradise.

With a design language that is both simple and refined, every piece of furniture has been thoughtfully designed and crafted by Island House, bringing warmth and intention into every corner.

Turning a house into a fully functioning think tank headquarters? Challenge accepted.

The renovation of Verité’s new office wasn’t just a design update — it was a full reimagination of how space can support thought leadership and collaboration.

From the start, we knew the space had to do two things well: honor the intellectual rigor of Verité’s work, and reflect the fresh energy of their team. That meant tearing down old walls, building new ones, and crafting a layout that supported open communication, breakout zones, and quiet focus areas.

Our team worked closely with Verité to understand their unique culture — a mix of sharp minds and creative thinkers — and built an environment to match. Think clean lines, warm materials, natural light, and a flow that encourages both spontaneous discussion and deep dives.

More than a renovation — this was a reinvention.
