Our achievements in construction industry are due to goals we have set and adhered to from our inception. We set up operations in 1966. it was a period when heavy machinery was scarce and most construction work was done manually. we purchased our first bulldozer in 1974. Now we own 42 such machines in a fleet of 101 various machines. Initially we were involved in mainly the clearing of jungle area

s for irrigation projects. We began contracting and working on major projects in 1980. The Multimillion Rupee Mahaweli Diversion Project was the first of these, Over 25% of the Mahaweli Project was done by Arangalla Constructions. In 1988 we were chosen as the Leading Contractor for the Mahaweli Scheme.
