අඩු වියදමින් ගෙදර ලස්සන කරන Tricks 5ක්:

1. White / Off white wall colors use කරන්න
ගෙදර ඇතුළ ලොකුයි, cleanයි කියලා පේනවා.
2. Wood finish doors & windows
Natural, warm, expensive look එකක් දෙන්න පුළුවන්.
3. Simple ceiling design + warm lights
Over design නොකර light placement එක හරියට දාන්න.
4. Front elevation එකට stone / texture detail එකක්
පොඩි area එකකට දැම්මත් house look එක වෙනස් වෙනවා.
5. Landscape එක simple තියාගන්න
Green plants + clean paving = premium look.

# Concrete Column + Wall System එක වැඩ කරන විදිහ

සාමාන්‍ය building එකක:

* **Column** = ප්‍රධාන බර දරන කොටස
* **Wall** = ඉඩ වසා දමන බිත්තිය හෝ සමහර වෙලාවට load-bearing wall

Load path එක:

Roof/Slab → Beam → Column → Foundation → Soil

# Columns සහ Walls Connect කරන ක්‍රම

# # 1. Columns මුලින් cast කරන ක්‍රමය (Most Common)

මෙය තමයි ගොඩක් භාවිතා වෙන්නෙ.

# # # Construction Sequence

1. Footing හදනවා
2. Columns cast කරනවා
3. Beam/Slab cast කරනවා
4. පස්සෙ brick/block wall build කරනවා

Wall එක column එකට steel ties වලින් connect කරනවා.

# # # භාවිතා කරන දේවල්

* 8mm / 10mm dowel bars
* Wall ties
* Mesh reinforcement
* Chemical anchors

# # # සාමාන්‍ය spacing

* 400mm – 600mm vertically

# Structural Connection එක

Wall එක column එකට properly tie නොකලොත්:

* cracks එනවා
* wall separation වෙනවා
* plaster කැඩෙනවා
* earthquake/wind වලදී instability එනවා

ඒ නිසා wall ties අත්‍යවශ්‍යයි.

# Reinforcement Details

සාමාන්‍ය house construction වල:

* Column main bars = 12mm / 16mm
* Stirrups = 6mm / 8mm
* Wall ties = 8mm bars

# # # Column-wall junction එකේ:

* Steel bar එක column එක ඇතුලට anchor කරනවා
* Wall mortar joint එක ඇතුලට extend කරනවා
* Minimum anchorage length maintain කරනවා

# Material Problems

Concrete සහ brick materials දෙක වෙනස් නිසා:

* shrinkage වෙනස්
* heat movement වෙනස්
* moisture absorption වෙනස්

ඒ නිසා junction crack වෙනවා.

# Crack Control Methods

✅ Column surface rough කරනවා
✅ Chicken mesh / expanded mesh දානවා
✅ Proper curing කරනවා
✅ Galvanized ties භාවිතා කරනවා
✅ Long walls වල control joints දානවා

# Confined Masonry Method

මෙතන wall එක මුලින් build කරනවා.

පස්සෙ:

* reinforcement දානවා
* column cast කරනවා

Concrete එක wall එකට lock වෙන නිසා bonding එක strong.

මෙය earthquake resistant buildings වල හොඳයි.

# Practical Example

230x230 RC columns අතර:

* 9 inch brick wall build කරනවා
* Every 450mm height එකකට 8mm tie bars දානවා
* Door/window ලඟ extra reinforcement දානවා
* Top lintel band එකක් දානවා

# Best Practice

✅ Columns first → walls after = safest method
✅ Wall එක column එකට mechanically tie කරන්න ඕන
✅ Smooth contact විතරක් තිබ්බාම strong bond එකක් නෑ
✅ Proper reinforcement + curing ඉතා වැදගත්
✅ Earthquake/wind areas වල lintel bands use කරන්න ඕන
