In the three quarters of 2025, a total of 24,793.7 MT of various vegetable, fruits and spices were exported from the eight export gateways of the country, including Paro International Airport.
Apart of India and Bangladesh, Bhutanese fresh agricultural produce have reached Singapore, Vietnam, USA, Hongkong and Japan.
Asparagus was exported to Singapore and Cordyceps was exported to Vietnam, USA and Hongkong.
In the past two months, a total of 1.5 MT of Matsutake Mushroom was exported to Japan.
In September month, we also find for the first time the export of Oranges, although the fruit has not yet ripened. Upon enquiry at the Samtse export gateway where the export took place, it was found that 1.2 MT of unripened Oranges were procured by Indian buyers to use as offerings (Prasad) for Durga Puja.
The Market Information and Research Division (MIRD) of DAMC keeps monitoring agricultural exports as per the Phytosanitary issuance records in collaboration with BFDA.
