Travel isn’t just about visiting new places—it’s about the connections we forge along the way.
Our Shenzhen trip was one for the books! We had the privilege of dropping by NODE Architecture & Urbanism, where the lovely Doreen Heng Liu 刘珩 welcomed us with open arms and shared some amazing local architectural insights and history with us.
We also took a deep dive into some incredible design landmarks around the city:
✨ Shenzhen Bay Cultural Plaza (MAD)
✨ Shenzhen Museum of Natural History
✨ Shenzhen Museum of Art
✨ Nansha Creative District Park
Grateful for warm hospitality, great conversations, and world-class architecture! 📸✨

What a session! 🎙️
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at the FENESTEX Forum during ARCHIDEX!
Our Director, Ar. Lui Sy Ying, took the stage alongside Ar. Foo Mau Jack (Archicentre) to dive deep into how building envelopes act as living, breathing responses to site, environment, and local culture.
Ar. Lui shared key design insights from Astaka Kota Selera, Penang, demonstrating how thoughtful façade articulation and natural ventilation can seamlessly blend public facility design with the rich, historical landscape of Fort Cornwallis. It was a inspiring exploration of balancing heritage sensitivity with modern architectural functionality.
Thank you to the organizers, co-speakers, and the engaged audience for making this forum a resounding success!
