Work in Progress with off-form concrete
We’ve been spending a lot of time working closely with our contractor to achieve the exposed off-form concrete finish we envisioned for this house.
Off-form concrete demands careful planning from the very beginning. Every pour matters, because there’s very little room for correction once the formwork comes off. Our goal has always been to get it right the first time, avoiding unnecessary hacking or rebuilding whenever possible.
Throughout the process, we’ve been learning and refining together, studying the concrete mix, formwork detailing, pouring sequence, vibration, and curing. Every small decision contributes to the final surface.
There is still much to be done, but we’re grateful to see the quality slowly taking shape. It’s a reminder that good architecture is not only about design, but also about collaboration, patience, and craftsmanship.
