SPOTLIGHT ON: SOSSUSVLEI DESERT CAMP
The Sossusvlei Desert Camp is located 5km from the entrance gate to Sossusvlei and Sesriem Canyon in the Namib Naukluft Park, on the Taleni Africa private reserve. Wild and dangerous animals roam freely around the reserve and may be encountered at any time.
The camp has an unsurpassed 360 degrees view over the desert landscape and surrounding mountains. This in itself makes Desert Camp a big attraction for photographers.
Accommodation at the Desert Camp consists of 20 eco-friendly self-catering units. Each twin-bedded unit has a spacious bedroom, en-suite bathroom, shaded veranda, kitchenette, braai area, power points and a parking area. Meals and adventure activities may be booked at the nearby Sossusvlei Lodge. Fresh food supplies can be ordered daily from reception for self-caterers and even private Chefs can be provided on request.
Facilities: bar with big screen TV; swimming pool; communal bomas; adventure center. A fuel station, shop and internet cafe is 5km away at Sossus Oasis.
