Greetings all, I guess you all had a great day.
I bring you this building (a five bedroom duplex) project which am working on. This building was designed to perform better than the conventional storey building we see in our environment.
Special care was taken to ensure that the windows are carefully and strategically placed at the North and South walls of the building. This will enable for a proper cross ventilation of the building's internal space (indoor environment).
No windows were placed at the east and west wall of the building to prevent overheating of the internal space (indoor environment).
The walls at the east and west wall will serve as a thermal mass (heat sink). Think of it this way - the wall will absorb the heat from the sun during the day making the indoor space cool and release this heat at night to warm up the internal space when the weather becomes cool.
In simple words - This building can Literally breathe.
I am thinking of the best finishes (external) that would be ideal for such a building. That is where you come in.
The question is - what would be the best and ideal finishing for this building?
Your suggestion is highly welcomed.
