Why we NEVER install a tank straight from the factory
Every overhead tank from the market comes with a 50mm discharge outlet. Most plumbers install it exactly like that and move on.
We don’t.
Here’s our process before any tank goes up:
Step 1 — Heat the PPR teeth
We apply the flame gun directly to the 63mm PPR teeth — not the tank — until they’re hot enough to work with.
Step 2 — Press into the outlet
The heated teeth are driven straight into the factory discharge opening. The heat does the work — reshaping and expanding the outlet permanently to 63mm.
Step 3 — Clean finish
No extra fittings. No adaptors. The outlet is now a permanent 63mm discharge, built into the tank itself.
The result:
