Happy Worker’s Day 🇳🇬
You work hard. Like really hard.
Lagos traffic,
9-5 that’s really 7-9,
NEPA wahala,
Fuel price increase,
“Urgent” client emails at 10pm,
“Can you see my screen” at 10:30pm…
You do it all and yes, you survived yet another year of all these.
So here’s the question:
Why is your house still stressing you like your office?
Isn’t having a home that hugs you back after a long day a beautiful reward too?
Safe. Calm. Fine.
Guy!!! You work too hard to live in a space you don’t love.
You should get home everyday and shout “Thank God” not “God abeg”.
You should be proud of your sitting room and not one that looks like NYSC lodge.
Your bedroom should help you rest not look like a loading bay at Oshodi.
Your kitchen should look like that of your Year 1 uni hostel.
Your furniture shouldn’t look like your village people.
You deserve “I’m home” to feel like a deep breath, not “God abeg.”
