Recently, Our MD spoke alongside fellow architects, designers, and industry leaders at the Lagos Architects Forum on the theme: “Lagos Architecture, The Movie.”
Her presentation explored Lagos as more than a city, but as a living, evolving system shaped by movement, behaviour, culture, and everyday human interaction.
Using observations from streets, airports, events, and public spaces, she reflected on how people naturally adapt and redefine environments beyond their intended function.
Some key reflections from the session:
• Great spaces are not only designed, they are understood through behaviour.
• People will always reveal the most intuitive way to use a space.
• Infrastructure without human-centred thinking creates friction.
• Culture, movement, and interaction must be considered as part of the design process.
• The future of African cities depends on spaces that support wellbeing, connection, and adaptability.
