**How to Calculate the Number of Batteries Needed for Energy Consumption**

1. **Estimate Your Energy Need**
First, calculate the total energy your home gadgets consume daily. Here’s a relatable example:

Imagine your home uses these gadgets daily:
- **1 Laptop** (50 watts for 5 hours): 50 x 5 = 250 watt-hours
- **1 TV** (100 watts for 4 hours): 100 x 4 = 400 watt-hours
- **4 Bulbs** (15 watts each for 6 hours): 15 x 4 x 6 = 360 watt-hours
Total energy required = **250 + 400 + 360 = 1,010 watt-hours per day.**

2. **Account for System Losses**
Batteries and inverters aren't 100% efficient. Assume about 15% energy loss in the system:
Total adjusted energy needed = **1,010 x 1.15 = 1,161.5 watt-hours.**

3. **Determine Battery Capacity**
Batteries are rated in volts (V) and ampere-hours (Ah). Common household batteries are **12V**. To convert your energy need into battery capacity (Ah):
Formula: **Battery Capacity (Ah) = Energy Required (Wh) ÷ Battery Voltage (V)**
Example: **1,161.5 ÷ 12 = 96.79 Ah.**

4. **Decide Number of Batteries**
If each battery is 12V and has a capacity of **100Ah**:
- One 100Ah battery provides **12 x 100 = 1,200 watt-hours**, enough to power the gadgets.
- If your energy demand were higher, divide the total energy by each battery's capacity:
Example: **1,500 ÷ 1,200 = 1.25** → You’d need **2 batteries** to cover this safely.

Here’s my answer:
The type of apartment you live in doesn't determine the capacity of your solar inverter system. What really matters is your total energy consumption.

Let me explain further—
You could live in a single room but have more appliances than someone living in a two-bedroom apartment. Am I wrong?
Nope! Exactly.

So, in this case, the total power rating of all your appliances is what will give you an idea of the size of the inverter you need.

I was in a conversation with one of my old customers, I did the electrical wiring of his apartment some time ago

As at when we did that He was still a bachelor.

He had no A.C, No freezer, no water heater, and he hardly uses his electric cooker, Because he hardly cooks
