In our 3rd Stakeholder Engagement Session, we brought together Development Partners, Academia and Civil Society Organisations.

Different perspectives, shared expertise, and constructive dialogue all pointed toward one goal: creating a freight system that works better for everyone.

Every contribution, question, and recommendation moves us one step closer to a policy framework that is practical, inclusive, and built for the realities of Lagos.

Special thanks to all the participants and partners for their active engagement and commitment to shaping a safer, smarter, and more resilient transportation future.

Mapping the pulse of urban transit!

Sustainable public transport isn't just about deploying electric buses—it’s about precision planning. Through our eBRT Feasibility Study, FAOCON is gathering the crucial data needed to optimize major transport corridors.

From passenger counts and motor park surveys to real-time journey tracking, we are helping shape an electric transit framework that is safe, efficient, and reliable.

Building intelligent and sustainable solutions for Nigeria’s transportation future. 🇳🇬

Yesterday, July 23rd, 2026, we convened the Development Partners, Academia, and Civil Society Organisations for the third stakeholders’ engagement meeting on the Lagos freight policy and regulatory framework.

The engagement provided a platform for meaningful dialogue, knowledge exchange and collaboration, with stakeholders united by a shared vision of building a more efficient, sustainable and resilient freight ecosystem for Lagos State.
Our objectives:
✅ Share international experience, research evidence and policy perspectives
✅ Validate the emerging Freight Policy and Regulatory Framework
✅ Identify opportunities for technical assistance, capacity building and investment
✅ Explore collaborative research, data sharing and monitoring arrangements
✅ Strengthen partnerships between Government, Development Partners, Academia and CSOs

Together, we’re building a freight policy framework that reflects global best practice while responding to Lagos’s unique realities.

Big moves are happening in the Lagos logistics and transportation sector!

Stakeholders across the freight industry are officially backing LAMATA’s initiative to develop a comprehensive Freight Policy and Regulatory Framework. Funded by the French Development Agency (AFD), this initiative focuses on collaboration with the private sector to ensure policies are practical and commercially viable.

Together, we are advancing the vision of "Smart Freight for a Thriving Lagos."

This means better operational efficiency, reduced logistics costs, and cementing Lagos as West Africa’s ultimate logistics gateway—without imposing unnecessary burdens on businesses.
