Step into a quiet sanctuary at Fowóralé II, where the indoor hot tub offers a serene escape and an opening above frames glimpses of the sky, letting soft light spill gently into the space. Every detail, from the materials to the spatial arrangement, creates a calm, meditative atmosphere that encourages reflection and relaxation.

This intimate retreat slows the rhythm of the day, offering a moment to pause while remaining subtly connected to the surrounding coast. Light and shadow play across surfaces, textures invite touch, and the space becomes a sensory experience that feels both private and deeply in tune with the natural environment.

Our vision for Ngarannam was to create a settlement focused on Kanuri/Islamic culture, setting it apart from other regional projects. The housing forms the basis of the master plan and is designed with sensitivity to Islamic culture, the courtyard house, the environment, and climatic needs.

In developing the housing units, we prioritised climate consciousness and sustainability. Particular attention was given to the roof design, building scale, materiality, and the community's preference for colour-elements that resonated with their culture before the insurgency.

The housing for the Ngarannam settlement reflects our approach to sustainability and functionality. A closer look at the roof structure highlights the integration of weep holes to enhance ventilation, ensuring the comfort and efficiency required for the Sahel region's hot and arid climate.

The project celebrates context through the Tyrolean finish, incorporating natural soil, cement, and a bonding agent to achieve a colour and texture reminiscent of traditional earth walls.

The facade design of the ADIDAS Flagship Store in Lagos is a bold yet minimalist statement. It features a combination of solid and perforated corrugated metal sheets traditionally used for roofing in Lagos’ mass housing projects.

Enhanced by LED linear lighting, the facade creates a dynamic optical illusion, with the level of transparency varying depending on the viewer’s distance from the building. This configuration provides a striking visual effect and ensures ample natural sunlight in the retail spaces.

, a project architect at Oshinowo Studio, joined the firm as one of the brightest students from the 2023 luncheon. He joined the practice initially as an intern and has shown talent and dedication on the job, which led to his retention and his taking up major roles on projects.

Reflecting on the past year in the firm, Praise states, “One special project I was thrilled to be part of was the research and development of a resort master plan at Kashimbila. Working closely with .oshinowo . I learned invaluable lessons in balancing modern design elements while preserving historical integrity.”

Currently, Praise is coordinating a renovation project for an institute to create a modern, eco-friendly learning space that caters to the growing population. The refurbishment of this institute presents an opportunity for connection, community, and culture.

Our Aventurine table was a bespoke design for our seaside pavilion.

Using coloured concrete and aventurine crystals, we created a statement piece at the heart of the space.

The table embodies three interlocking design elements, creating an illusion of weightlessness that challenges the conventional notion of gravity.
