MORNING DEW DEVOTIONAL
Theme: Seek Him While There Is Time
Text: Holy Bible – “Look for the Lord while you can still find him; call out to him while he's nearby.” (FBV)
If you missed planting a tree yesterday, when is the next best time to plant again? The answer is now. Delay may cost opportunities, but prompt action can still secure results.
Many people become careless with time, forgetting that time is one of life’s most valuable resources. We assume there will always be another chance, another season, another tomorrow. But wisdom teaches us that opportunities do not remain open forever. Bible says, “Be very careful, then, how you live... making the most of every opportunity.” Eph 5:15-16
If we fail to build meaningful relationships today, when the day of need comes, disappointment may follow. Relationships are like seeds; they must be planted and nurtured before harvest season arrives. Bible reminds us, “A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.” Proverbs 17:17
Our text this morning carries a serious warning: “Look for the Lord while you can still find Him.” This suggests that there may come a time when one seeks desperately but too late. Today is the day to seek God, know His voice, and walk with Him. “Now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” 2 Corinthians 6:2
Many wait until crisis comes before they remember prayer, until trouble strikes before they value people, until doors close before they knock. That is a dangerous way to live. Birds build nests before laying eggs. Wise people prepare before the storm comes.
The relationship you refuse to build today may never become a blessing tomorrow. The God you ignore in times of peace may be the One you desperately seek in times of trouble. Therefore, do not postpone what heaven is asking you to do today.
There is always a window of opportunity, and once missed, it may not return in the same form. Seek God now. Love people now. Forgive now. Build now. Start now.
Prayer:
Father, help me to recognize and use every opportunity You have given me. Teach me not to waste time, neglect relationships, or delay seeking You. Give me wisdom to act now and grace to build what will bless my tomorrow, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Have a wonderful weekend
