The most expensive EIA mistake is not the consultant fee. It’s the delay.

We’ve seen developers lose weeks (sometimes months) because of:
- Wrong project classification
- Late EIA initiation
- Weak stakeholder engagement
- Poor baseline studies

This carousel highlights the most common pitfalls and how to avoid them.

📖 We also published a complete guide to Environmental Impact Assessment in Nigeria covering approval timelines, costs, legal requirements, and practical steps.

Before you start construction, ask this question: Do I need an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA)?

Many developers in Nigeria treat EIA as a paperwork exercise until it delays approvals, affects financing, or stops a project entirely.

In this carousel, we break down:
♦️ Which projects commonly require EIA
♦️ The 5-step approval process
♦️ The biggest cause of delays
♦️ What developers should do early

Lagos flooded again. But this isn't just another rainy season story.

Every year, we blame blocked drains, poor infrastructure, and government failure. While those factors matter, they don't explain why flooding keeps becoming more severe.

The reality is that many buildings across Nigeria were designed for a climate that has already changed. If we continue designing for yesterday's weather, we'll continue paying tomorrow's repair bills.

Read our latest blog to understand why buildings keep flooding and what must change.
