Open Letter To Nigerian Leaders: Our Businesses are Dying, Our People are Suffering
I am writing to urgently appeal to our leaders at all levels - federal, state, and local - to take bold action during this economic crisis. Families across Nigeria are struggling under the weight of inflation and job losses. Businesses, the lifeblood of our economy, are closing their doors by the thousands.
We cannot stand by while Nigerians suffer. Many good people are losing their livelihoods through no fault of their own. If we don't act decisively now, despair and instability threaten to tear apart our social fabric.
I call on the President, Governors, Local Government Chairmen and billionaires to immediately establish substantial grant programs for small businesses. Fund their payrolls directly so they can retain staff during these difficult days. Set up simple, streamlined applications focused on saving jobs. Time is running out.
To religious and community leaders, leverage your networks to assist the vulnerable. Reach out proactively to those quiet strugglers who won't ask for help. Let us pray while taking practical steps.
Leaders, remember that legacy is not built just through infrastructure but through improving citizens’ welfare. Future generations will judge you by the actions you take today. Step forward courageously and support the backbone of our economy before it completely cracks.

We sink or swim together. History is watching.
