5 a.m. is a terrible idea until the mist catches the first light.
I left Amsterdam before sunrise and reached Ransdorp just as the fields began to glow. For a few quiet minutes, the whole polder turned gold—and even the cows looked cinematic.
This is why I keep setting the alarm.
