So many feelings, creative projects, cold winter activities, and the sweetest people to end and start the year with ❄️🤍🪩☃️
I think what I loved most about this last month was the pace of it, and the mindset that came with that. My expectations were low, and somehow my zest for life went up because of it. I learned how to downhill ski, read a few novels, put a couple of blog posts online, went ice skating whenever possible, worked on my art in an inspiring flow state, and spent a lot of time just sitting on the floor playing with my puppy. I also celebrated another birthday and felt really good about turning a year older.

I guess for the next few months I know what matters most if I want to enjoy them fully: lower my expectations and go lightly.

What about you? Did you have a good transition into the new year? I hope you’re feeling hopeful and content about 2026 ✨

This past week I spent over 23 hours hopping over rocks in Jotunheimen 🇳🇴💙without any reception, and it was quite the reset. Not for my knees and ankles though, they had to work really hard ;-) But being outside for such long stretches of time, with spectacular glacier and mountain views and meeting fellow hikers in the huts, was so inspiring.

I felt pretty burned out before vacation, since the i-net doesn’t seem to give me (or anyone, I guess) any peace, so this pause was much needed. Funny how the moment reception comes back, anxiety strikes right away. How helpful 🫠

Still, it’s been such a good lesson before the last two seasons of the year, and I’m aiming to build in more i-net free days. Do you feel the same after summer break? Any tips on how to make it stick? ☺️

New seasons have a funny way of shifting your mood. Depending on what the season brings, it gently nudges you in a new direction. Now that sowing season has started, it feels like everything is beginning to take shape again, in the garden and in life, which makes me as giddy as a kid! 🫛🌞

It probably has to do with the change of season, but lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about shaping. Not just our garden, but also the choices we make every day, the people we grow into, and the kind of life we hope to cultivate along the way.

I put all these musings into a good old blog post. If you’re curious, you’ll find a few snippets when swiping, but tap my bio link for the full mixed bag of thoughts on growing zucchinis, teenage brains and shaping dreams into the future!

Have good week! 💙✨

Lately, I’ve been feeling a little low on motivation, so I went searching for inspiration. I found it in the words of a brilliant 90-year-old artist lady. ✨ Her perspective made me reflect on what truly brings meaning to my work and life, creating a real shift in my energy. I share more about it on my blog, but swipe here for a few snippets 🤗💙

Which one fits your mood best right now? 💙🩷

I’m definitely in need of some affirmations, focus and alone time to get back on track with work deadlines and life in general 🫠 When feeling behind on almost everything I always question myself a lot, which isn’t helpful in getting things done… at all…

So umm for me, I guess all of them apply to where I’m at right now haha!

I hope you have a good week ahead of you! Let’s make those affirmations work for us ;-)

This week, we had a crazy amount of snowfall in the valley—so much that we couldn’t even leave our driveway! We spent hours shoveling to clear the way haha. The snow made everything feel magical, with cotton candy skies like this 🍬✨

Being stuck at home actually worked out really well since I’m prepping for something super exciting! I’ve always imagined Alta as a space for creative wellness—a place where a healthy body and a creative mind go hand in hand. My dream has always been to combine both my two loves, exercise and design, through Alta. Sooo… 🥁

…in 2025, I’ll be focusing on becoming a certified Pilates teacher! My training kicks off next week with and I couldn’t be more excited. I’m not sure how much I’ll share about this journey just yet, but I will at some point! 🤸🏼‍♀️

This weekend is all about enjoying the snow and calming my nerves for this adventure. What about you?!💙

This time last year, I wrote a love letter to my future self 💌 I wanted 2024 to be a year of positive mindset changes and I wanted to be a little kinder to myself.

Now, as I read it back, I realize just how far I’ve come in 12 months. The letter feels like a high-five from my past self, cheering me on for the hard work, growth, and creative energy I’ve poured into this year. Maybe it’s the holiday vibes talking, but I feel damn good about my year❤️‍🔥💃🏼

Have you ever written yourself a letter? Is there something you are proud of this year that you want to share with me?! Sharing and celebrating those wins together feels so good ⚡️✨

Wishing you a magical Christmas, friends! 🎄😘

What a year it’s been! Creating this teenage toolkit in Dutch - along with all its teaching materials - has been my biggest focus. From countless no’s to endless hours of work, building something new takes so much more than meets the eye. Stressful? Yes. Rewarding? Absolutely. ✨

I’m so proud to see this toolkit finding its way into classrooms across the Netherlands, and I’m crossing my fingers that 2025 is the year it truly takes off 🤞🏼🤞🏼

I’ve shared more about this journey - its highs and hurdles - in my latest blog post, ‘From Snowfall to Small Business: A Year-End Reflection.’ I hope you’ll give it a read! l¡nk ¡n my b¡o 💙

Wishing you a cozy and calm week before Christmas. 🎄✨

As the year comes to an end, I’m finding myself in a familiar cycle of thoughts. 💭 I’m someone who always feels the need to keep moving, chasing goals, and taking on projects that demand focus and dedication – like time is running out, and I need to squeeze the most out of it. 🏃‍♀️

When I look back on the year, it’s easy to feel like I haven’t done enough, and that often leads to dreaming up even more plans for the new year. Oftentimes, in all that ambition, I lose sight of my priorities and end up feeling overwhelmed.

So, instead of rushing into 2024 with a packed agenda, this weekend I’m giving myself the time to reflect and set clear priorities. I want the year ahead to feel purposeful and manageable, not like I’m running on a hamster wheel… 🐹🎡

How do you feel about the year ahead? Excited, calm, or maybe a little overwhelmed like me?

Only a few more days until I’ll be standing in front of a group of teachers, sharing the toolkit I created to help teenagers design their future careers! 💙

When I designed this toolkit, my intention was always to empower schools and teachers with practical career path tools. From my own experience, I’ve seen that a classroom is the perfect environment for students to explore their future possibilities. With their classmates, they can inspire and encourage one another, brainstorming ideas together in ways that wouldn’t happen on their own. 💡🧠✨

That said, building collaborations with schools is no small feat—it takes a ton of work and persistence for so many reasons. But I’m so proud that I stuck with it and managed to create this toolkit and teaching method. ❤️‍🔥

This weekend will be packed with preparations for Monday’s teacher training, but honestly, I don’t mind—I’m just so excited that this is finally happening!

Happy weekend!✨

It’s the weekend! And I’m back in NL for a few weeks—mainly for work, but also to visit friends & family. Right now I’m feeling a mix of excitement and nerves because I’ll soon be sharing my career path toolkit with teachers for the first time! ❤️‍🔥 I’m deep in the process of designing, printing, and prepping everything, and while it’s incredibly rewarding to kick off this collaboration with schools, it’s also pretty nerve-wracking 😬

These scenes though, bring me goosebumps (the calming kind ;-). Watching a sunset with a flock of birds dancing in the sky has an amazing effect on melting my nerves away 🫠 There’s a lot to say about the flatness of the Dutch landscape, but I’m completely in love with the Dutch polders. I mean… look at this 🩷☝️!

I hope you’ll have a blissful weekend!
