It is often being said that a blank sheet of paper is the beginning of all the possible worlds. These give us opportunity to transfer the abstraction of what we subjectively perceive as reality to a concreteness of a frame of a picture - making a fragment of this reality available for sharing - and thus - communication. One being - many worlds - one portrait - one frame - many relative messages. T
he goal of every single minute I spend with pencils or brushes in my hands is a living, riant, talking, smiling, crying, whatever-doing (but doing!), communicating picture to be shared. Picture has to breathe. In this way, the expression and the atmosphere really is predominant in my portrait-drawing/painting, independently of a posture of the model illustrated or a technique used. The intent is therefore not only to depict the visual appearance of the object, but also to show its inner essence and level it up a bit, turning the object into the actuall subject actively stepping out of the frame.
