Project: “Under the Fog”
| Resort Design, Gorkha, Nepal |
A hillside resort designed to blend architecture with landscape.
The project responds to steep terrain through terraced planning, stone retaining walls, and linear built forms that frame uninterrupted mountain views.
The master accommodation units emphasize warmth and comfort, using natural materials like wood and stone, balanced with minimal modern detailing. Interior spaces are planned for functionality and visual calm, ensuring privacy while opening toward nature.
The recreational block is positioned near the site entrance, integrating a swimming pool, bar, and dining space. The design focuses on indoor–outdoor continuity, allowing guests to enjoy panoramic views while maintaining spatial comfort.
Overall, the resort prioritizes:
• Context-sensitive design
• Clear zoning of public and private spaces
• Seamless circulation on sloped terrain
• A balance between modern architecture and natural surroundings
| A design that respects the land while elevating the guest experience. |
