Role Summary: Alpine Fencing is a family-owned Central Otago-based fencing business. We are seeking a focused and competent person who wants to develop their skills as part of our hard-working and easy-going team. The role will be varied, mainly focused within the factory helping to produce bespoke macrocarpa fencing and at times, assisting as a labourer on site. There is also the opportunity to develop skills within other areas of the business, especially for those interested in learning to become a fencer. This is a hands-on position and would suit someone who has a background in machine operating, construction, joinery, or anyone who is keen to learn some new skills.

Key skills required:
🔧 Competent with power tools and machinery
👂 Ability to listen to and follow instructions as an effective team member
🎯 Focused and self-managed to fulfill daily work requirements in a timely manner
💪 A high level of strength and fitness
🤝 Commitment to teamwork and health & safety resulting in safe work practices
🚗 Having a Driving license if preferable but not essential – applicant must be able to work in Queensberry

Key responsibilities:
🔨 To assist in the production of timber products
👷 To assist on-site where needed
⏰ To understand and meet each project’s timing deadlines
🔧 Upkeep and maintenance of tools and equipment
