METCON BUILDING | PETER RAY HOMES
RĀRANGI BEACH JOB

Organized chaos at the Rārangi Beach project, the corrugated iron cladding is really starting to bring the place to life. The clients have gone with Forest Green for the wall cladding, paired with a Karaka Green roof, fascia, gutter and window aluminum, creating a clean contrast that sits beautifully within the surrounding landscape. It's a classic, hard-wearing combination that suits the coastal environment while giving the home plenty of character. Once the Cedar cladding is installed, it'll soften the overall look and tie everything together with warm, natural tones. The mix of greens and cedar creates a distinctly Kiwi, native-inspired colour palette that feels right at home amongst the hills, bush, and coastline of the Marlborough Sounds.

METCON BUILDING | CEDAR

Western Red Cedar cladding brings a timeless, natural character to any Marlborough home, but getting the installation right is what makes it stand the test of time. Every board needs to be carefully set out, fixed, and detailed to allow for ventilation, drainage, and the changing conditions our climate can throw at it. With its rich colour, distinctive grain, and lightweight workability, cedar is a pleasure to work with, but there are no shortcuts when it comes to craftsmanship. From straight, clean lines to properly flashed joins and secure fixings, quality installation ensures the cladding will not only look sharp on day one but continue performing for years to come, delivering the warm, authentic finish that makes Cedar a favourite for Marlborough homes.
