There have been a lot of firsts for me during the course of this build. Like this one-off front splitter designed by
It's an absolutely mega part, to say the least.

A 100% composite construction with the bottom receiving multiple layers of carbonkevlar to aid in abrasion resistance.
Both top and bottom are infused with a high density foam core. The top section finished in 3k twill arranged in a 'V' pattern, which is split by a centre stripe of spread tow... unnecessary but an enjoyable challenge that I think turned out well.
M8 and M6 fixtures bonded in place for mounting consumable wear plates. There is a 50mm internal leading edge V section made in a 3rd mold to provide a bonding surface between the top and bottom with L sections made for each outer edge. Following that, there is an internal frame you can almost spot in photo 2. This serves 2 purposes. 1) Acts as spars/ribs like an aeroplane wing. 2) Stops the pouring foam in the next step, ruining mounting surface for the chassis brackets. Finally, the pouring foam adds even more rigidity and impact resistance!

Overall, an enormous amount of work problem solving and excecuting new procedures. A mega part that I'm honoured to have been trusted to even attempt to make. I'm confident rd.2 would be even better!!

Last minute diffuser repair for this Huracan GT3 Evo before heading north to compete in the North Island Endurance Series!

With these cars being run so low and hard, it's no surprise the floor sections need repairs.. this diffuser had worn through to the core material, and 3 mounting points were missing. It's not pretty, but it is on time!
