Āhiāhi mārie Comunity whānau,
I wanted to share one of the regular ECE approved excursions we attend in our bubble sized ECE setting.

We attend Elim Kids Music on a Tuesday morning from 10-11.30 am during the term.

Apart from this being a fun learning environment for our tamariki, from an ECE approved lens these are the experiences this activity provides our tamariki.

• Opportunities for positive reciprocal relationships with the leaders/adults, other whānau and tuakana/teina friendships.
•Opportunities to be a part of and contribute to Communtiy building experiences. Tamariki are encourage to participate in the programme and to support cleaning up at the end.
• Physical and cognitive growth and development are promoted during music and at free play time.
•Introduction to music and movement which are intricate insertions for wellbeing, cognitive and physical development.
•Inclusity of diversity of disabilities and cultures.
•Experiences for supporting and developing positive Emotional and Social confidence and competence.
•Connection with people of our local community through sharing a meal together.
•Adherence with Safety and Health regulations

As an ECE educator having these opportunities are valuable experiences in an enriched positive environment that I highly recommend. 🤩🥰

It was Cultural Celebration day today, so I wore a gorgeous outfit given to me by a previous whānau. 🥰

We also explore pegs and puzzles in the tuff tray, the tamariki are enjoying having a voice in what goes into the tray for exploration time. 🤩

I have spaces available, all ECE and Government funding applies. 😊
PM for more details. 😍

We practiced our Earthquake drill today. 😊
First we coloured images, next we read a story called "Ana's Jelly", then we practiced "drop, cover and hold" under the dining table, followed by watching the Stan Earthquake video.
Drill practices are made fun here so that tamariki recognise them and know what to do in an emergency. 😊

We have spaces to join our e hoa, come and spend time exploring with us. 😊
ECE and government funding applies. 🥰

This week we decided to explore a frozen dinosaur small world using warm water and teaspoons to melt and smash the dinosaurs out of their frozen state. My tamariki had a blast with this activity, spending about an hour exploring it. 😍

Sometimes we explore "simple" small worlds and other times we explore a "complicated" small world. (As shown in the photographs of two different dinosaurs small worlds). 🥰
Either way my tamariki have a tremendous time learning and expressing their imagination and knowledge about how things work in different worlds. 🤩

We have spaces available, government and ECE funding applies.
