Your pool shouldn’t need a top-up every five minutes.

Okay, slight exaggeration… but if you’re regularly adding water 💦 it’s worth finding out why.

Pump. Filter. Heating. Chlorination. Plumbing.

There’s quite a bit going on behind the scenes to keep a pool running properly.

If something isn’t performing as it should, we can investigate the problem and advise whether it can be repaired or whether an upgrade makes more sense.

And with the wider Poolside Christchurch team behind us, we have access to the equipment, parts and expertise needed to get things sorted.

The goal? A pool that works properly when you actually want to use it. Our philosophy is repair not replace where possible 💧

There are two times to discover your pool has a problem.

October, when there’s time to sort it out.

Or the first scorching Saturday of summer when the kids are standing there in their togs waiting to get in.

We vote October.

If your pool needs repairs, leak investigation or equipment attention, spring is a great time to get onto it.

Pools are pretty good at giving you clues when something isn’t right.

The water level keeps dropping.

The pump sounds different.

You notice a damp patch.

A crack appears.

The liner starts lifting or changing.

You’re using more chemicals than usual.

Sometimes these things are minor. Sometimes they’re the first sign of a problem that’s much easier to deal with now than later.

If something about your pool has you thinking, “That doesn’t seem right…” get us to take a look.

Topping your pool up more than you think you should be?

Don’t just keep reaching for the hose.

A dropping water level can be caused by something relatively straightforward, or it can point to a leak in the plumbing, liner, fittings or pool structure.

Finding the source is the important bit.

Leak detection is one of our main areas of expertise. We use careful testing and investigation to narrow down where water is escaping before recommending the right repair.

Less guesswork. Less unnecessary work. Just find the problem and fix it properly.

The water’s warming up. The days are getting longer. And the pool you’ve barely looked at all winter is about to become part of everyday life again.

Before swimming season gets properly underway, now is a good time to deal with anything that hasn’t seemed quite right.

Losing water?
Equipment not running properly?
Cracks or movement you’re concerned about?
Liner looking worse for wear?

Get it checked now rather than discovering the problem when everyone wants to jump in.

All About Pools can investigate, diagnose and repair pool problems across Canterbury.

A pool heat pump can help extend your swimming season, making those cooler spring and autumn days far more inviting.

More comfortable water means more chances for the whole family to use the pool - not just during the hottest few weeks of summer.

If you’d like to swim for longer each year, talk to us about adding a heat pump to your pool setup.
