Clearing the sides of a raceway to allow water to exit onto the paddocks .
Dirt has built up under the fences over time and recent capping with pumice has made the problem worse.
A little bit of maintenance makes a huge difference to the life of the race surface

When our tame sparky Scott "temu" , from Wecah electrical asked if we could give him a bit of a hand sort his drive , drainage, retaining walls and later on fencing ,we had to say yes .Scott is the electrical guru we go to to get our pumps humming and we are wrapped to show him what we can do . We have spent the last couple of weekends working together to get the basics of the designs worked out and will charge ahead creating workable solutions for him .

Do you own an effluent bladder?
We recommend not to empty them completely, as a guide, keep enough liquid in them to keep the taps reasonably level .
This bladder is only just over a year old but when it was installed the tap flanges were not tightened and staff did not identify the bladder was getting too low ,allowing the taps to drop onto the material and rubbing .
There is one small hole but alot of damage to the material so we are going to put a large patch over the effected area to prevent failure.

What a stunning day Opotiki put on for us today, we installed the screen we built for the double flood pump chamber we have installed, built a walkway to safely enable cleaning, even did a quick drain clean while the digger was on site .

Back tomorrow to do an effluent bladder repair and look at a collapsed culvert

We can only hope Galatea gets a little sunshine 🌞 tomorrow

An urgent job securing a rural property,
Some lovely folks took out 30 meters of deer fencing and squashed the gate ,leaving the property unable to be secured.
Instead of trying to find the owners they just pulled their car out and took off .
We straightened the gate , put in some very heavy posts and rails along with a deep drainage ditch and bund to stop anymore unwelcome visitors .
A temporary repair until new fencing and gate are installed.
