Today we farewell Kelvin Taylor, a sad day for us, but he is moving in to a new career and we can only wish him well. Good luck Kelv, we know you will excel in your new role.
Kelvin has asked us to post this message.
Well... today is the day.
After six amazing years, today I clock off for the last time at Henry Adams Contracting.
It's hard to put into words just how much I've enjoyed working here. I've been lucky enough to work alongside a fantastic bunch of people who have become more than just workmatesโthey've become lifelong mates.
A huge thank you to Henry, Kerry, Simon, Deane and the entire team for giving me the opportunity to drive just about every piece of machinery imaginable. Every day was different, every day brought a new challenge, and I honestly loved coming to work.
But what I'm most grateful for is the support you gave me to keep growing. While working full-time, you encouraged me to study and chase a completely new career in real estate. That wasn't always easy, but having an employer who backed me and gave me the flexibility to achieve my goals made all the difference. I'll never forget that.
Looking back over the years, I've been fortunate to experience so muchโfrom the timber industry, owning my own business, volunteering with the Fire Brigade, being involved with Wests Rugby, and now moving into real estate. Every chapter has taught me something valuable, but Henry Adams Contracting has been a huge part of that journey. The confidence, skills, friendships and experiences I've gained here will stay with me for life.
I'll miss the laughs, the banter, the early starts, the smoko yarns, and of course the daily debates about how my way was obviously the right way! ๐
Now for the biggest change of all... after spending the last six years working with a crew of good blokes, on Monday I'll be working with an office full of women... and I'll be the only male! ๐ณ๐ So if anyone notices me turning up with matching clothes and better manners, you'll know why!
In all seriousness, leaving isn't easy. Henry Adams Contracting will always hold a special place in my heart, and I'll always be grateful for the friendships, the memories, and the opportunities I've been given.
As one chapter closes, another begins. I'm excited for my new career with Property Brokers, but I'll always look back on my time here with a smile.
To Henry, thank you for believing in me. Thank you for giving me opportunities, for supporting my studies, and for helping me become the person I am today. To every one of my workmates, thank you for the laughs, the hard work, and the friendships. I'll miss you all more than you'll probably ever know.
I'll still be driving past slowly to check if you're all doing it properly... although somehow I reckon you'll manage just fine without me! ๐๐
Thank you, Henry Adams Contracting, for six unforgettable years. Once part of the team... always part of the team. โค๏ธ
