We don’t just do concrete!

We started this job with a complete section scrape clearing the property in the excavator, getting rid of all the foliage, weeds and debris etc. that had taken over after the construction of the house, followed by fresh topsoil being carted in to build up and level the front yard to match the height of the concrete driveway creating a massive lawn area being underway with lawn seed being sown and grass to follow in due time this will be a area to play back backyard cricket on no doubt. (Well front yard cricket technically)🤣🤷‍♂️🌱

Last one for the year earlier this week , happy clients with this black oxide concrete going down to accomodate a basketball hoop and give the kids somewhere to bounce the 🏀 and take a couple shots 💯🤩

Went out on perfect note with a beautiful final product! Can’t be much happier with a job and that’s something cause normally there’s always something that could of gone better or be improved but this one I was very content with. 😎😅😇

Previously was a set of tiled stairs to get in the front door. (last picture for a before shot 📸).

Clients had previously had us in to do a bit of work and came to us a year later with a plan to do a ramp access way to make things a little easier.

Handrails are up next to be completed and posts to be painted to complete this project 💯🎉

Iconic Building Ltd Asked us to aid them in a little house extension needing some Boxing, Prep and Pour on the ASAP. 🚨

We answered their call 📞 With only a 2 day turn around! Allowing them a little time to get things on schedule!
Digging out the job via the good old barrow and shovel due to the access on site and taking old insufficient fill away that had caused the old patio to crack and wasn’t up to standard of what’s required for the new extension.

Replacing the fill with Quality AP40 Dunite from the always reliable Northside Sand & Gravel.
Built up in compacted layers ✅ Followed by 25mm of Sand binding,polythene moisture barrier and 100mm polystyrene insulation. Reinforcing Mesh and Starter Bars drilled and Chemsetted into the existing foundation as to the building plan.
All in time for a council building inspection this morning with a pass for the verdict!
Concrete followed early afternoon supplied by McGreggors Winton 💯
Keeping this renovation moving a day earlier than we thought we would be putting the pad in 😎🤷

We even let the bricklayer onsite use the excess concrete for his block fill, keeping everyone happy👌🏻
Doesn’t get much better than that, not a bad effort and a great result considering the winter temperatures can make concrete tricky.
