First day of spring 🌱☀️

I was out on site this morning for a quick photo while we had blue skies and absolutely no wind… although that changed pretty quickly! 😂

The renovation is coming along really well, and it’s going to be an amazing space when it’s finished.

And what a night it was! 🥇🏆

After sharing that we were entering the Master Builders House of the Year Awards for the first time, we’re incredibly proud to share that SMB has taken home GOLD! 🎉

Our first time entering, and to come away with a Gold award is an achievement we’re incredibly proud of. It’s a fantastic recognition of the hard work, craftsmanship, and dedication that went into bringing this project to life.

A huge thank you to our amazing team, subcontractors, and suppliers. Your skill, commitment, and teamwork played such a huge part in making this possible.

And, of course, a very special thank you to our wonderful clients for trusting us with their home and giving us the opportunity to bring their vision to life. We’re so grateful to have been part of the journey.

It was also a privilege to spend the evening celebrating alongside so many talented builders, trades, designers, suppliers, and businesses from across the industry. The quality of work represented on the night was incredible, and it was great to see so many people coming together to celebrate the craftsmanship and dedication that goes into creating great homes.

A fantastic night with our team and clients, plenty of celebrations, and a result we’ll certainly remember! 🥂✨

A first for SMB! 🏡

This Saturday we'll be attending the Master Builders House of the Year Awards as first-time entrants.

We're incredibly proud to have one of our projects entered and are looking forward to celebrating alongside so many talented builders. It's a great opportunity to recognise the hard work of our team and everyone involved in bringing quality homes to life.

We'd especially like to thank our wonderful clients for giving us the opportunity to work with them on this special project and for trusting us to bring their vision to life. We'd also like to acknowledge the incredible subcontractors and suppliers who worked alongside us—your skill, dedication, and teamwork have been a huge part of this achievement.

We're looking forward to a fantastic evening and celebrating the outstanding craftsmanship within our industry.

One pole shed? Easy. Two? Even better. 😎

Safe to say we've got a few on the go!

Great to see another project coming together thanks to the hard work of the team.

Sometimes a project just needs an extra pair of hands to get it across the line.

We were brought in to frame this pole shed and install the roof trusses after the owners ran out of time to finish it themselves. The slab was already poured, and it was great to help get the build moving again.

Another solid frame up, built with care and ready for the next stage. Thanks for having us on board! 🔨🏗️

Cold day. Steady progress. 🏡🔨

Every build has a stage where it looks a little rough before it all comes together. Despite the winter weather, our team is making fantastic progress and bringing these project's one step closer to completion every day.

Big milestone on this one 👏

From precast panels going up, to handing over a finished warehouse space ready for business — this project has been a massive team effort from start to finish.

Huge thanks to our crew on the tools and all the subbies who helped bring it together. And a big shoutout to the client as well — great people to work alongside and awesome to see the vision come to life together.

Plenty of hard work, early mornings, problem solving, and teamwork went into getting this one over the line — and we’re proud of the result.

Always good seeing another commercial build come to life here in the Manawatū 💪🏽🏗️
