Pink Sparky

Pink Sparky Providing honest and reliable electrical services throughout the Waikato area Hi I'm Amy! - Your friendly local Electrician. That 's when Pink Sparky came about.

After 12 years in the trade, I saw a need for people to be able to feel safe and respected in their own homes and businesses when using a tradie. I saw a need for a business that was honest and upfront with good clear communication. Working with tradies can sometimes be challenging and even intimidating. I'm always more than happy to have a chat if you're not sure about something, I'll explain thi

ngs for your understanding, and I'll always be open about the service you're being provided, every step of the way. We love seeing women and girls getting out there and giving construction trades a go. Completing a trade in construction industry (electrical, building, plumbing... the list goes on!) is a real option for any woman wanting and willing to put in the hard work. If you're looking at this option, our business will go out of our way to steer you in the right direction with any advice and guidance to get you into work that you'll love! Our business is all about helping people, and that's one reason why our shirts proudly sport the Pink Ribbon as our way of promoting breast cancer awareness. If you find any thing suspicious get it checked out!! Look out for me in my pink shirts, and give me a call today for a great service with a twist!

Big changes 🩷

Last year I became very ill with unusual neurological issues that affected my ability to move, talk and work for a good few months. I had to make the call to wind back business and focus on getting well. This unfortunately meant having to let my amazing team go. They all found jobs within weeks of being given notice which is a testament to how awesome they are. I’ve been back up on my feet just working for myself for quite some time now, am fighting fit, and am so grateful to be feeling well again. Its true what they say about having a massive health scare and then seeing things from a new perspective. In saying that, I have now decided to go in a slightly different direction, accepting a new position at an Auckland based innovation company and I’m really excited to be heading back into the industrial sides of things again.

I want to thank everyone for their support over the last (nearly) ten years, all our customers, and our favourite builders Weinbox Builders who have become amazing friends and continued to check in to see how I’m doing.

I will still very much be involved in supporting women in the trades, giving advice to apprentices and hopefully (after settling into my new role) starting some kind of Saturday morning up-skilling workshop for those interested in learning basic motor control circuits, fault finding skills and other bits and pieces to get a head in their job.

I’ve been passing most of my work onto a really good dude called Jeff from Jeff Lake Electrical, give him a bell on 021 281 1170 and he will definitely see you right.

Im really excited for this next chapter! Thanks again for all your support, I wish you all well! 🩷

Cheers,
Amy xl
